Become a Dive Professional with the PADI Divemaster Course

If your goal is to turn your passion for diving into a career, your first step is the PADI Divemaster course. By working closely with a PADI Instructor, you’ll expand your theoretical knowledge, refine your practical skills, and reach a level of professional competence that is recognized worldwide.

What You Will Learn

This program is designed to develop the essential skills of a dive leader. Through structured sessions and independent study, you will gain solid training in:

• Leadership and group management
• Problem-solving and dive activity coordination
• Endurance and physical fitness
• Assisting instructors with student training

Benefits of PADI Divemaster Certification

Once certified, you’ll be able to:

• Supervise and manage recreational diving activities
• Assist a PADI Instructor with all scuba diving courses
• Independently conduct programs such as Skin Diver, Discover Snorkeling, Discover Local Diving, Scuba Review, and Discover Scuba Diving (as a Leader qualified Divemaster)
• Guide Open Water Diver students on training dives under indirect supervision
• Conduct PADI Seal Team AquaMissions
• Teach Emergency First Response (EFR), if qualified
• Progress toward becoming a PADI Instructor

Participation Requirements

To enroll in the course, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Be certified as Advanced Open Water Diver and Rescue Diver (PADI or equivalent)
• Have completed an Emergency First Response course (or equivalent) within the last 24 months
• Have logged at least 20 dives at enrollment and 60 dives for certification
• Provide a medical clearance signed by a physician within the last 12 months

The PADI Divemaster certification is the gateway to becoming a dive professional and is a required step before taking the PADI Assistant Instructor and Open Water Scuba Instructor courses.
